Not one of us will travel this adventurous journey we call life totally unscathed. Regardless of individual circumstances, whether you are recovering from abuse, addiction, illness or just life in general;-) - I firmly believe that there comes a point when we have to take responsibility for our own health, emotionally, physically and spiritually, and our own thoughts, actions and reactions:
Positive reaction
You can fill the darkest day with hope, just by the way you decide
to look at it. Anger, frustration, and dismay are not the result of your
circumstances -- they are the result of your reaction to circumstances.
Your situation may indeed be difficult. The obstacles may appear to be
insurmountable. It may seem that the whole world is against you. Yet
that is all the more reason to look up, to look ahead, to find something
positive you can grab on to. You may have every reason to despair,
yet despair will only keep you down. Is that what you really want?
You control your reactions. You're in complete control of the way you
interact with the world around you. Any particular circumstance can be
good news or bad news, depending on what you make of it.
Everything that holds you back, has the potential to move you ahead.
Your life is overflowing with possibilities, if only you will decide to
live
them.

If there is a recurring 'theme' to my pages it's probably "we can change the world, one person at a time" (and if I spent as much time working on ME as I do on these Webpages, I would be one ENLIGHTENED being, let me tell ya! *grin*). Take your time, browse around a while and enjoy! Take What You Need and Leave the Rest!

The World Is A Puzzle
from the Rainbow
Garden Sponsor Stories
There was
a man who had a little boy that he loved very much. Every day after
work
the man would come home and play with the little boy. He would always
spend
all of his extra time playing with the little boy.
One
night, while the man was at work, he realized that he had extra work to
do
for
the evening, and that he wouldn't be able to play with his little boy.
But, he
wanted
to be able to give the boy something to keep him busy. So, looking
around
his office, he saw a magazine with a large map of the world on the
cover.
He got an idea. He removed the map, and then patiently tore it up into
small
pieces. Then he put all the pieces in his coat pocket.
When
he got home, the little boy came running to him and was ready to play.
The
man explained that he had extra work to do and couldn't play just now,
but
he
led the little boy into the dining room, and taking out all the pieces
of the
map,
he spread them on the table. He explained that it was a map of the world,
and
that by the time he could put it back together, his extra work would be
finished,
and they could both play. Surely this would keep the child busy for
hours,
he thought.
About
half an hour later the boy came to the man and said, "Okay, it's
finished.
Can we play now.?"
The
man was surprised, saying, "That's impossible. Let's go see." And sure
enough,
there was the picture of the world, all put together, every piece in it's
place.
The
man said, "That's amazing ! How did you do that ?" The boy said, "It was
simple.
On the back of the page was a picture of a man. When I put the man
together
the whole world fell into place."

How do we ‘put the man together'??? The 'only requirement is a desire...'what is your desire? What do you really, really want and how badly do you want it?

Most of us believe in the existence of a
Higher Power. We call this divine source by many names and follow
as many divine paths as there are personalities:
...for every being
who has begun to sense
that there is Something deep within us
that is much, much Bigger
and more Powerful
than our brains and our bones.
The question arises:
How do we connect with It?
How do we get It to listen?
And the Truth is
we are always connected.
It is always listening.
That, in fact, is precisely our problem.
It NEVER stops listening.
We have simply neglected
to pay close attention
to what we are asking it for.
It is the prayers
we don't recognize we are praying
that cause our suffering.
EVERY BELIEF IS A PRAYER.
Every worry is a prayer.
Every complaint is a prayer.
Every grudge is a prayer.
Every avoidance is a prayer.
Every sadness is a prayer.
Because they become a theme
upon which we meditate.
Of course, we don't call this prayer.
We call this....thinking.
EVERY PROBLEM
is based on one mistake:
we think Life is out to get us.
Thus, we prepare for battle.
In the interests of self-defense,
we begin various lawsuits against Life:
Us versus the Weather.
Us versus the Backache.
Us versus the Bills.
Us versus the One We Dislike.
Us versus the Past.
Us versus the Thing We Hate.
Please note that in each case
the operative word is versus.
V E R S U S.
That is our prayer.
And that becomes
the prayer that is Answered.
Another way to say it
is simply this:
A True Prayer
does not consist in us
telling God over and over again
what is wrong.
A True Prayer
is what happens when
our thinking pauses
And we offer up a space
of Inner Silence
in which we can hear God
speaking back to us.
Listen as though
your joy depends on it.
IT DOES.
Our mind is like
a roomful of anxious thoughts.
Whenever we step back
from these thoughts
and brush them gently to one side,
we can see the Room Itself.
And what we find
in that quiet, still place
is that Divine Guidance
is already there.
Try this.
It won't seem reasonable,
but try it anyway.
Tomorrow
when you find yourself face to face
with something uncomfortable--
instead of fighting it.
try simply being quiet.
If you truly want personal growth
ask God to tell you what to do.
And listen.
Just watch how instantly God responds
when you make room in your mind
to hear Him.
The Truth is
we are never alone.
To think God can desert us
is like imagining water
can stop being wet.
Can water do that?
The Holy Spirit.
Don't leave home without it.

You can keep running and hiding and blaming
the world for your problems...or you can stand up for yourself and decide
to be somebody important!
How do you do that?
By knowing that you're important.
First, you get an image in your mind of who you want to be and what you
want to be. And then you go to work becoming that person!
